• The students organized the Teacher’s Day Programme on 05.09.2008 with felicitations & games for the Teaching staff followed by various cultural events.

• Freshers party to welcome the new comers was held on 26th September 2008.

• JHANKAR 2008 : The Cultural and Sports festival of this Institute Jhankar 2008 was held from 12th October 2008 to 18th October 2008. Students exhibited their cultural and sports talents during this week.

• SMILES 2008 : The 3rd Institute Day Smiles 2008 was celebrated with great pomp and shout during which students who excelled in Academics, Cultural and Sports activities were given prizes.

• National BDS Students Convention in Oral Medicine and Radiology : Mr. Sarvesh Gupta, IV BDS, Ms. Himali Gupta, III BDS, Ms. Shyamala, Intern won the Best Paper Award. Mr. Neil Dominic, Mr. Suvendra, Mr. Naunit Vaid and Mr. Nitin, Interns won the Best Symposium Award. Ms. Geethanjali and Ms. Jayapreethi, Intern, Ms. Ethina Angeline and Ms. Priya Varghese, III BDS, Mr. Prasanna Kumar and Mr. Nandakumar, IV BDS and Ms. Rifana and Ms. Rekha Singh, III BDS won the Best Poster Award. 56 students presented Scientific Papers at this National Seminar held at Ramachandra Dental College & Hospital, Chennai on 11th January 2009.

N.S.S. ACTIVITIES

Volunteers of N.S.S. unit, MGPGI have participated in several screening and treatment dental camps for the public along with the Dept. of Community Dentistry which included five special dental camps.

A guest lecture was delivered by Dr. J.P. Singh, M.D., Medical Officer, KNIT, Sultanpur, U.P. on “Medical Ethics” on 26th November 2008.

A team of NSS Volunteers of this institution attended an inter-collegiate programme on “First Aid” at Mother Theresa PG Institute of Health Sciences on 31/01/2009.

• Our First Institute Day was celebrated on 30^th November 2006. His Excellency Mr. Mukut Mithi, Lt. Governor presided over the function and took the privilege of unveiling our College Magazine.
